Well, it was most definitely a night to remember! So many different styles of music, so many amazing people I got to play with, so many wonderful friends and family there to support and encourage me! I want to add pictures to this post. They will be coming later!
I have tons of thank yous. Let’s start with the musicians-
To my super amazing friends from TRN-Benji Pizarro on drums, Ted Naiman on Bass, Olivia Stover and Rocky Sandoval on vocals, and Eli Yamzon on Keys. You guys brought so much energy to the Rehearsal Works stage! Eli also recorded the audio and video at the show, which will be released very soon.
My incredible backup singers Donna Christian, Erin Randle, Jennifer Weddermann and Wanda Stagner (who are capable of singing lead but were so gracious to support me as backups) Your beautiful voices brought my songs to a new level!
Jeff Morgan and Ivan Gunderson played with me for the Destiny set. Thanks for bringing the music back to life. You two totally Rocked it! Jeff Morgan ran the live sound except when he was rocking out on the bass. Then Kenny, his apprentice took over.
Now thanks to the volunteers-
Norma Pizarro and Yvonne Pizarro were the raffle queens. They were so organized and professional!
Eddie Romero and Earl Klein were the leaders of the set up tear down team. They were so willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
Shane Forberg was my guitar tech. He was awesome and even made a special trip to bring some pens. In the end, we realized he didn’t have to do anything during the show but he was willing to help and I appreciated that so much!!
TJ helped run the video camera.
Michael Englehart took some amazing photos and videos.
Kristin Luippold helped me stay organized.
Grant Anderson owns Rehearsal Works. He gave us a sweet deal and he was so helpful to answer any questions I had (which I seemed to have a million)
Mirek Kohout Facetimed with my sisters and my mom on his iPhone so they could be part of the show.
My beautiful daughters Ava and Annabelle. They really helped me out with the little things and gave me hugs when they could tell I needed them.
Thanks to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle-
Topie and Karin from Foxfire Salons and Spas who donated a $100 spa certificate and a bottle of perfume.
Anne and Denny Sapp who donated a handmade chair, table, and candelabra built from wine barrels.
Angie Roush who donated a special dinner prepared by Chef Jim.
Sky Morgan who donated 10 hours of personal training.
Jen McLamore who donated a 60 min massage.
Michelle McLean from Peace Out! who donated a Starbucks basket.
Sam and Byrl Eddy who donated a beautiful gardening basket.
Tiffany Burton from Milo Salon who donated two haircuts.
Last but not least I want to thank everyone who attended the show, who donated to the fundraiser, and who sent a word of encouragement to me. Sometimes this journey is very difficult, sometimes it seems it would be easier to throw in the towel and give up, but my heart wants to play music. Some days your encouragement is what gives me the courage to press on. I thank you for your love and I want to send love right back to you! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
